Coated choline

Rumen Protected Choline Chloride 25% (ColProt)

Manufacturer name: Qingdao Runbote Biotechnology (RBT)

Amount of active ingredient: 25%

Target animal: large livestock

Description

Coated Choline Chloride
Choline is a pseudo-vitamin classified under the B-vitamin group (B4). It becomes essential when the body has deficiencies in methionine, folate, or even vitamin B12. If choline is introduced into the body of ruminants without coating, rumen microorganisms degrade it, making it less bioavailable to the animal. Therefore, coating is essential for improving its efficacy in ruminants.

Similar to methionine, choline is a methyl donor, with one of its primary functions being DNA synthesis. Coated choline chloride, as a feed additive, not only participates in methylation but also plays a role in synthesizing neurotransmitters like acetylcholine.

Positive Effects of Coated Choline Chloride in Ruminants

Production Performance

Increased dry matter intake

Increased milk production

Enhanced milk fat and protein content

Liver Function

After calving, cows in a negative energy balance rely on body fat reserves, making them prone to conditions such as fatty liver syndrome and ketosis. These conditions negatively affect the health and reproductive performance of the animal. Choline, by participating in the synthesis of very-low-density lipoproteins (VLDL), enhances liver function by facilitating the transfer of fat from the liver to muscles.

Immune System Performance

Reduction in inflammatory markers like positive acute-phase proteins

Enhanced immune cell activity

Lower incidence of diseases such as ketosis and retained placenta

Reduced oxidative stress

Digestive System Performance
The intestinal endothelium relies on choline as a structural building block for membrane integrity. Additionally, coated choline chloride alters the gut microbial population by:

Increasing beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus

Reducing harmful bacteria like Escherichia coli (E. coli)

Packaging
25 kg bags

Shelf Life
24 months from the date of production
