Description
This enzyme is a product of VTR, a company that started its operations in 1991 and is one of the largest specialized producers of biotechnology enzymes in China, with five production facilities across the country. VTR has successfully developed beta-mannanase through advancements in fermentation processes and innovative post-fermentation technologies.
Mannans are widely present in plant-based components of animal feed. As a secondary component of hemicellulose, they are found in natural feed materials. Beta-mannan belongs to the non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) group, commonly seen in oilseed meals. Mannans are primarily present in palm meal, soybean meal, rapeseed meal, and other oilseed by-products.
Benefits of Beta-Mannanase
Breakdown of Beta-Mannans: Facilitates the hydrolysis of beta-mannans in soybean, palm, cottonseed, rapeseed, and other oilseed meals, ultimately improving bird growth performance and feed efficiency.
Enhanced Insulin and IGF-1 Secretion: Increases insulin secretion and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), improving energy utilization by enhancing beta-glucan digestion and carbohydrate metabolism.
Gut Health Improvement: Promotes a healthier gut microbiota, enhances mucosal tissue, stimulates and strengthens the immune system, and improves animal growth performance.
Mycotoxin Binding: Functions similarly to toxin binders by absorbing mycotoxins (e.g., aflatoxins) through the formation of mannan oligosaccharides (MOS).
Improved Energy Efficiency: Enhances the metabolizable energy of traditional corn-soybean diets by approximately 100 kcal/kg.
Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) Reduction: Reduces the feed conversion ratio, shortens the rearing period, and increases uniform slaughter weight.
